Use this Square Root Symbol in equations on your Web Page.
Examples:
123456785432
123456789
The numbers above are actual text. The Square Root symbol is an image. The image is set as the background image of a span that is placed around the numbers you want to appear within the Square Root Symbol.
What you need to make this happen:
The Images
There are two sizes to chose from. The smaller image works well with a font size of around 16 pixels. The larger image works well with a font size of around 24 pixels. The first step is to save the image. Right Click and Click "Save Picture As...". This image MUST BE placed in the same folder as the Web Page on which you are using it.
For font size of 16 pixels
For font size of 24 pixels
The Code
To save the code in the boxes below, select all the text in the box, Copy and Paste to a text editor like Note-Pad. I suggest you name it 4sqrt.txt and save it to the folder where you have placed the corresponding image. Then it will always be at hand when you need it.
Code for small image.
Code for large image.
This code must be added to the HTML code where you want the Square Root expression to appear. Replace "NUMBER HERE" with the number you want to present.

If you are using Front Page, or another such WYSIWYG Web Page Editor, I suggest that you type the number you want surrounded by the symbol in the "Normal" mode. Then select that newly typed number, and switch to HTML. REPLACE the selected number in HTML with one of the code snippets above by copying it from 4sqrt.txt and pasting it into the HTML. You can change "NUMBER HERE" in the text editor before you copy and paste, or change the number after you have replaced it. The point is that you want it right where the number you typed in Normal mode appeared.

I have tried to make this as simple as possible. Please let me know if it could be explained better. Don't hesitate to contact me if you want to discuss this process.
